Site news / logApril 13 2008progress is still painfully slow and not happening as fast as i would like. Some is in part to making drawings suitable to use on the website, the other reason is because of my main blacksmith web site has under gone some alterations. Which means i havent been spending so much time doing this site. I have decided, that although i prefer to colour or shade in the drawings because they show so much better on the web format. It is quicker to post drawings in there raw wire diagram form, and go back at a later date and shade them in. Hopefully if my work load allows we should see drawings arriving here at a slightly quicker rate over the next month or two. March 24 2008Now have a few double gates up, as well as many pages set up an ready to recieve images. There are still more page section to add, these will be added over the coming weeks. With image place holders for images until the correct images are added
March, 23 , 2008Now have 42 single 3ft tall gates images up. A bit slower progress than i want but its happening. Now decided to work on populating the web site with pages, even if the images aren't ready. Going to use a "place holder" image, this allows all pages to be up and running. The place holders are the same size as the drawings, which means i can work out how many images i can get per page and the layout of the page. Then all i have to do is substitute the place holders for real images as they become ready. Saturday, 16 February, 2008Current status is we have 20 small single gates posted to the library, no description text as yet but that's not a priority. Decided with single wall gates 4 drawings per page seems best. Should have increased this to 32 by sunday evening. Current pages start from an option page asking the desired height, that linked from the main single gates navigation.
